Ok, I am a little confused.
Lisa, I just got off the phone with Dad and he said that Aunt Dee told him she, your mom and Aunt Esther were all making turkeys. So you may want to get ahold of Aunt Dee and see what she is planning.
Also, I have the noodles made, so I would be more than happy to bring something else. I just need to know what. So please Wright family let me know what you plan on bringing. And again, ask the grown ups to (your parents) to find out what they are bringing also.

Hey family! I'm so excited about seeing everyone. Thanks Steph for stepping up to try and get us all fed. I'm not sure what to bring. Sherri are you bringing your noodles? If you are then I wont make dumplings. Just let me know. I'm going to make a big pasta salad. I'll bring a desert. I'll bring some drinks and can bring ice if needed. Since Aunt Dee and Aunt Linda passed the spatula to the younger generation last year, which I think was due. And believe it or not, Thanksgiving is getting very near. I would like to get a list together of what you would like to bring. Please let me know when you can. That way I can put it on a spreadsheet and be a little organized. And that will give me an idea of what we will still need when Thanksgiving gets closer. Hope to hear from you soon. Love all of you soooo much, and can't wait to see all of you on Thanskgiving.

p.s. Please ask your parents (mothers) if they are bringing anything also, and let me know. That way I can put that on the list too.

Yard Work

I have been working very hard in my yard this year. I added a new flowerbed and I got all new mulch. It took forever to get it all mulched. I couldn't put all pictures on but here are a few.

We also added a new Victorian home for our rabbits, Chocolate and Happy. They live well.

Brian built an awesome fort for the kids. We did the plans on our own and saved about $1,500.00.

I love working in the yard. I would love to design others' yards as long as they payed for it.

Long time, no blog and I am sorry about that. We have had a very busy summer but a good one.

Meg had cheerleading camp and really enjoyed it. This is her second year. She is going to Girls, Incorporated here in town and is just being such a big girl.

Brady did baseball for the first time. He loved it and he improved with each game. He plays constantly at home. When Meg goes to Girls, Inc. Brady and I go on adventure to Chucky Cheese and he plays all the games.

Please be praying for Savannah Scotts family. She is Tameka's friend who had cancer until this morning. She went to heaven today. I just don't understand it. I am just going to FROG (fully rely on God) it and know that God will be there through it all. I pray for comfort for the family. I'm so worried about her mom. When I first heard the news of her having cancer I called her mom to confirm it and she was so mad at God, and the world. She was just so devastated. I can't imagine going through everyday life without God let alone my childs sickness. It breaks my heart all around. I don't know if they will tell the kids at school or not. Tameka is going to be so sad. I'm glad that Tameka knows that she is in heaven and knows the promise that she can see her again. love to all.

Hey everyone. I need everyones Help. We are heading to the end of this night mare with the boys and it is getting very clost to them placing the children with one of the parents. I need everyone to pray for us. In case you don't know Andrew and Auburn are getting divorced and Andy has filed for custody. Cps will place the boys with in the next couple of weeks and the judge is very likely to stay with thier choice. We are terrified of this and it seems no matter what we do she always comes out ahead. Andy works 6 days a week in the coal mine. He pays for everything for his boys. He comes out everyday to see them and totally does everything they tell him to. She is on her third man, parties, supplies nothing and rarely even asks about her boys and she still seems to always come out ahead, She wont even hold a job so Andy is paying her car payments too. It is crazy and I don't mean to air our dirt on here but I feel I am losing my mind. I see my son get hurt more and more everyday and she has taken everything he has except for these boys. We fear for thier saftey if they are returned and I think only preayers are gonna help us now. Please let the family start prayers for us. I don't know how I will have the strength to send them back to her and her life style. Thanks for listening. Love you all. Sherri

There's a New Kid in Town!

There's been a new addition to the Jim and Deloris Burke Family.

Her name is Bunny. Coz she hops around spastically like a rabbit when she plays.

Her main function in life at this time is five-fold: She sleeps, plays, pees and poops, eats, and adds complete and utter joy to my parent's (and mine) lives. It's long overdue. Thanks, Bun-Bun.

And yup, if ya can't tell, she's a Boston Terrier like our infamous Toby from years ago.

Thank God for small blessings, eh? We already love her more than we can stand. :) Strange how quick these little creatures can crawl right inside your heart and fill it up with love.

Mom and Dad just loaded her up for her first Vet visit as I type this. Shots, ouch! Poor lil baby.

So, anywho, that's it for updates right now. It's a good one, huh? Yay.

Anyone wanting some puppy kisses should come by and see the Bunster.

But be prepared for love at first sight. She's a heart stealer.

We celebrate Roberts 1st Birthday with a big bash. He didn't really care for the toys as much as he did the clothes! Amazing. He didn't have a nap that day, but he was a good boy. He is such a joyful little guy! Thomas was worried that he would get choked on the cake so he watched him close. He as most of you know has been walking since the day after Christmas and now is running every where. He is a riot!

A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM If you read this without laughing out loud, there is something wrong with you. This is dedicated to everyone who ever attempted to get into a regular workout routine.

Dear Diary,
For my birthday this year, my Husband (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me.

Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try.

I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Christo, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear.

My husband seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started! The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress.

MONDAY:
Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Christo waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!!

Christo gave me a tour and showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he conducted his aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring!

Christo was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week!!

TUESDAY:
I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door.

Christo made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then he put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. His rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT!! It's a whole new life for me.

WEDNESDAY:
The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot.

Christo was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for that early in the morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying.

My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Christo put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Christo told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other shit too.

THURSDAY:
Asshole was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late - it took me that long to tie my shoes.

He took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. He sent some skinny bitch to find me. Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank.

FRIDAY:
I hate that bastard Christo more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, anorexic little aerobic instructor. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it.

Christo wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me the damn barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich.

The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director?

SATURDAY:
Satan left a message on my answering machine in his grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing his voice made me want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel.

SUNDAY:
I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my husband will choose a gift for me that is fun -- like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he would have
sprinkled the floor with diamonds!!!

Andrew planned a surprise trip for me to Nashville. I didn't know where I was going until we were on the highway traveling South...By the time we passed Owensboro I knew I was headed to Nashville. I knew there was going to be a concert involved also. I didn't know who it could be. I am true blue Country so I knew it had to be a Country concert. We arrived at our hotel and checked in. Then he took me to the Opry Mills Mall. After we walked the entire mall, we headed over to the Opryland Hotel to see all the decorations. We couldn't figure out how to get to the outdoor ones so we went inside. I have never been there and it was more than I could imagine. It was beautiful!!This is the Christmas tree in the Opryland Hotel. It was so dark in there that most of the other pictures didn't turn out.

On Sunday afternoon we went downtown on Broadway and walked the shops. We stopped at this bar and listened to Open Mic. It was a little bar and it was smoke free! The young man singing was really good. We walked down to the river and listened to the Titans win their game against the Browns. We headed back to our room before the crowd hit the streets.
We are getting ready to go to the Summet for a concert...
YES!!! It's tickets to the Carrie Underwood Carnival Tour at the Summet!! We didn't have the camera with us at the concert so I have no other proof that I was there, but I was!!!

The tickets and a T-Shirt from the concert. It was the most fantastic concert I have ever been to. She was the TOTAL PACKAGE and then some!! That woman can sing. I think she is just as good live as she is on her CD's. She was beautiful in everything she wore. Andrew out did himself on this trip. This is the best surprise he has done for me yet!

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing better up there in Vincennes. I just wanted to check in and tell you what I plan on bringing to the christmas party. I will bring the veggie soup if Aunt Dee would like to take a break. Mom will bring her chicken noodle, Shelby said she will bring a double of broc and cheese and she told me Stephanie will bring potato soup. So unless aunt dee wants to bring the veggie soup I'll bring it or will bring taco soup if she would like to bring the veggie soup. So Lindy please ask your mom and let us know on here. I just want to say what a blast that cuzz buzz wuzz. We missed all the cuzzes who were not there. You missed a special night that will go down as one of those precious memories to be cherished. Cuzz Buzz

Well as you all know we hosted our second Cuzz Buzz this weekend. Wow what a night. We all enjoyed a night of laughter, relaxation and fun with the ones we love. What memories. I think it was just the medicine we all needed. As you know we were all asked to bring a bucket of craft supplies. To every ones surprised we had a night of all sitting around the kitchen table enjoying a night of crafts decorating our own hats. That's right a hat. What creations, what imaginations that took over (all but Lindy who insists that she is not crafty, lol). We think you did great Lindy. Wow what of ribbons and glitter, flowers and straws, wow are we good. After the creations we all voted for the most creative hat. Melanie was voted in as the first tri annual Brunnel award. This award comes with much honor and prestige. Melanie will be able to display this award in her home with pride until the next cuzz buzz when she will sadly have to put the trophy back up for grabs. So to all those who did not win don't give up hope there will be more opportunities for you at the next cuzz buzz in March. Also with the honor of winning came the honor of throwing the march cuzz buzz. Mel we all look forward to your hosting in March.
Melanie was not the only winner of the night. So many winners it was like attending the grammy's. Emily was the proud winner of the smoothest legs, Lindy was the unusual winner of the oddest thing in your purse (her bra), Alisa took home the award for the bushiest eye brows, and Shelly bless her heart was the proud winner of the ugliest toe nails. Wow what a packed night of blessings.
The night did not stop there. We all enjoyed some wonderful and historical Bobes Pizza. Except for the rotten onions. Hope no one got sick. Cu dos to Auburn for the most wonderful brownies ever. Glad you enjoyed the Mel and Lindy. lol. And delicious cheese cake. After all the crafting and eating we retired to the living room for hours of reminiscing. Oh the stories that were told. Catching up on every ones life's, poop stories (babies you know how it is), most embarrassing moments, Aunt Beulah and Aunt Dee stories, and all the memories of child hood. to those raising babies and those of us who now have grand baby stories. Not sure how we all got that old but so glad we are doing it together.
Thanks to all who made it last night, I was so happy to be able to open my home to you all and would do it again and again. Thanks to Jd for hiding in the bedroom and being our photographer. Thanks to Alisa for having a dream and making it happen. See some dreams really do come true. To all who could not make it we hope you will keep March in mind and help us keep this family of love and unity together. Love you all. See you Thanksgiving.

Wow. I sure do love my family, even though I'm not a republican fan. I love the fact that we live in a country where we have the freedom to exercise our rights and opinions. Even though they differ vastly.

For instance, I believe that Tuesday marked one of the happiest days I've had in eight years; while several members of my family are sure Armageddon is upon us. Let's not forget that we have republicans AND democrats amongst us in our family.

I believe there needs to be a third party. But for now I choose what I perceive to be the lesser of two evils. I am fully aware that many republicans view democrats as spawn from hell. Oy vey.

However, I am secure enough in myself and I try to be open-minded and nonjudgmental, so I choose to smile and take a deep breath and even find humor in what so many people insinuate about the other ones political party choices.

I agree on one huge thing with Mel's post. I've been praying for our leaders especially hard for the last eight years and will continue to do so now and in the future.

We've got quite a mess to clean up, and with prayer, a positive attitude, and more open-mindedness and less judgmental mentality, which is what I believe our first black president will go a long way towards promoting, we just might have a snowball's chance of changing the downward spiral of things in the good old US of A.

It's all going to be okay, people. I really do believe that. Especially now. :)

I love you all, no matter what your political or religious views may be. Diversity is what makes this planet so much fun and keeps things interesting.

I didn't even watch 30min of the news at one time last night. As you can guess I'm not a Democratic fan. I know that even though I don't agree with Obama I now have to pray for him. I'm just reallllllly sad for unborn babies. That is my biggest issue with the democrats. I wanted to share with you all my devotion for yesterday.

The Lake home now has 8 rabbits, 3 goldfish and a set of twins. HELP! Just call me Grandma Wright.

We thought we had 3 boy rabbits - well, Thursday I came home at noon because Brady was not feeling well. I told him to go check on the rabbits and he came and informed me that we had babies. I thought he was trying to trick me but he wasn't. We had 8 babies. You can imagine my shock. I had to put cages together quickly to remove the other two adult rabbits and make a nest for the babies.

Lindy, you will not want to read the rest - Aunt Dee said it would upset you. The mother rabbit is not being very nice and has killed three and injured two more so we have removed them from her and I am feeding them myself. They are doing better since I have been attending them. I have been taking care of them for 12 hours.

I think we are going to name them , Ethan, Sydney, Jenna, Landon and Payton. Just Kidding!!!

With some advice from Aunt Dee and the vet and my dad we are nursing them ourselves. They are under lamps and eating from a syringe. I am feeding them puppy formula.

Life is never dull around the Lake House.

Can u feel the love! Here is Noah's support team for the championship football game. Noah's team lost by 2. It was a pull your hair out kind of game. Thankfully Uncle Jim, Aunt Dee, and Tony were able to come to Noah's game after being told about it just this morning. I'm so bad about informing everyone of what's going on in our crazy life. Noah is a kid of few words but believe me when I say his heart was smiling so BIG today when he realized who was there watching him play. The after game picture op was priceless also. Noah is such a good kid. Some of the kids were crying about losing but he was so "no big deal". I'm just very thankful for how my kids are loved. Grandparents are priceless! love you all.

P.S. I'm so excited about the cuzz get together. Would you mind if Robyn Folsom came along. She grew up with Lindy and Cathy and is a member of our church. I was talking about us getting together and I just thought it would be fun if she came too.

Ladies of the Wright Stuff.

Sherri and I have been trying to celebrate the birthday of Linda Patricia Burke. We all know her as Lindy. Well we are gonna kill two birds with one stone on this one. We are also very very very overdue for a CUZZ BUZZ so we are going to put the two together. If some of you are not familiar with the first. A bunch of us got together and got a tattoo. I believe, help me with my memory, it was before The Shelb got married. Anyhoo...no we are not going to get another tattoo!!! But we are going to get together. I will be contacting each one that is within a 4 hour road trip (hint hint Cathy, Cheryl, and Missy) to please please attend. I promise you, YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!!! Stacy, Kelly, and Sandy, I am truly sorry you are so far away. I wish I could tell you all about it, but that would ruin the surprise. Well it is no surprise we are getting together, but what is going to happen is just going to be fantastic. Sherri and I have really put some thought into this and we would like for every GIRL cousin to be able to attend. I am planning on this to happen on November 8th. I know Stephanie I said the 1st, but this will give all of us the opportunity to participate in the Second Cuzz Buzz. Here is the one and only catch to the whole thing. This will take some major thought. Each one who comes to the Buzz must bring with them materials to do a decoration. Now this decoration can be a theme decoration, junk from the trunk, craft crap, or whatever you would like to decorate or project with. Please bring enough to make your project complete. This is the esential part of the plan. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! It is very simple as mom says it. Just fill an icecream bucket with the stuff you want to decorate with. Don't go overboard and don't slide on this. I promise you will not want to miss this event. So all of you far and wide. Well not so much the wide part, please say you will come. Yes I am going to contact each of you...

Mom and Dad started taking two kids home on sat. So friday morning Shawn called Em and told her we would come and get the three that didn't get to go to Dad and Moms. Em said " Come and get them" So we went there to get Ethan, Peyton, and Sydney.............well Jenna knows what bye bye means and was very sad. I picked her up and loved on her and she wouldn't let go until Em came and she went to her. Shawn was telling Jenna bye and carried her over to me to tell me she wanted to go also....I said "That was great, put her in the carseat and grab Landon too." So off we went to the donnell pad. We picked up Pats girlfriend and went on our way. We also had Kaykay, and Ali's friend. To help with the math that was our 7 + 1cousin + 1friend + 1 girlfriend + The wright 5 = 15kids! WOOOOHOOOOOO! Really it was awesome. We had a lot of fun. Everyone was hungry after taking a walk so we thought " lets go to Mc Donalds's for lunch. $60sum odd dollars later and all was well. All the kids did great and we are going to try and do it again real soon. We are soooooo blessed. What a way to spend such a beautiful day. Love u all. Mel

I only have twins and my house is a disaster, I have about 7-8 loads of laundry that I need to do and I look horrible to boot.
Girl, do not ever feel like you are alone. I have been down on myself about my house and laundry for the last couple of weeks.
We need to remember that our kids are going to remember the time we spend with them and not that the floor was swept and all their clothes were nice and neat in their closets.
You are doing a great job and enjoy your kids while they still want to be with you. Remember they are going to be teenagers. I remind myself of that all the time.

September 25, we went to Epcot for the food and wine

Thanks to Great and I mean Great Grandpa and Grandma Burke! Tameka and Monica had a ball with Great gpa and ma Burke this weekend. Tameka and Moni told all the kids about the great store they went to that everything was a dollar. My kids are very blessed to have wonderful Great grandparents who love them more than life. Thanks so much for taking such good care of them Uncle Jim and Aunt Dee.
Dominique had her tonsils and adenoides taken out wed.so she has been in the healing process and doing better everyday. Friday I started getting a sore throat and cough that I found out was also with a right ear infection. While I was at the er getting checked out, my blood pressure was sky high at 147 over 115. I'm going to my Dr. Monday so be praying that we can get a handle on this.
I'm ready for a family gettogether. I feel like I haven't seen my "Wright" family in a year. I love you all and can't wait to see you all again.

Things here, are busy as usual!!! We all had the stomach virus a couple of weeks ago. It was horrible, we almost had to take Eli to the hospital. After a week we finally recovered. Right after that we had Tropical Storm Fay. Someplaces down here got over two feet of rain, we are still having problems with the flooding. It rained for about 40 hours straight, we didn't think it was ever going to stop. Sam is back in school taking two classes this semester. He is almost done, he will be graduating in May of 2009. He is also taking a 5 week review class on Saturdays for a big engineering test he has to take in October. Everyone please say a prayer for him, he is stressed out and hates to be away from his family. The boys are doing great now, they are always on the go!!! We are super excited to have Grandpa Larry back in Florida!!! Caleb can hardly wait to see him!!! Hope everyone is well. Love to all!!!

Well here we go. Another season of football. Noah's team won their first game 21 to 6 saturday the 6th. Noah was only on the sideline the last 42secs of the game. He was awesome. He is coming home from prac and games with brusies on his arms. he thinks that's cool. He is such a funny kid. He is going to make the Princeton tigers football team the best when he is in highschool .....you just wait and see. Love you all!

Can you believe he is driving on his own now. I'm trying not to freak out to much over this new adventure put before us. He is a great kid, he is very involved with our church, he makes great grades, he keeps himself busy with soccer and golf. He still has to much teenage attitude but what teen doesn't think he is grown and his parents are retarded. Pray for him, us, and everyone that will be riding with him. I told Shawn to get a pic of patrick driving away from the house the day he got his license and this is the pic he took. I love the fact he can drive to and from school and practice but him not needing us as much is scary. That's what you do right.........bring them up in the way of the Lord and let them use their wings to fly. YES I WANT TO CRY. I'm not going to, I'm going to count my blessings and pray as usual. Hello family!! I have had one of the worst brain farts I have ever had with this web sight. I have not been able to blog here since April. I could not get on the sight when I signed in. I thought I knew my password and talked as polite as I could to the computer screen to please let me in. I tried every password I have ever had and I still couldn't get on. I had talked to Missy the last time she was home, talked to Lindy at Uncle Steve's, and to Sherri on Labor Day. I had planned to get on the computer at Sherri's on Labor Day to show her what was happening but with all the fun we had, I forgot. SOOOOOO....that evening when Andrew and I got home from Sherri and JD's house, I was looking at the sight and wishing I could let you all know what has been going on with my little family. Andrew asked me why I didn't blog anymore. WELL...I let him have it out of both barrels about how I must have the wrong password and blah blah blah. He asked me very politely to show him how I signed on. His very words and I quote,"Sweetie, why are you using that email account? Don't you sign in on your Yahoo account?" I stared at him with the look of seven devils and said, "What?!!! It is asking for my Google account (which I have for Stephen)! Why would I use my Yahoo account????" I huffed at him and entered my Yahoo account email and password. I said with authority "This is not going to work. It has to be a Google account" as I hit the button to enter. POOF! I was on. He walked away without saying a word. I stared at the screen in total disbelief. I was on. WHAT?! HOW?! All summer I have set at my computer waiting for that magical moment when Blogger would feel sorry for me and let me on. The wait was over. I sat there for a moment and shut the site off. I was so mad at myself for being such an idiot that I didn't blog. So here I am now. Stephen graduated from college in June with a double bachelors degree. He finally graduated after nine years!!! He has a degree in Fine Art and Communication. He is currently working with David Lynch (LA director) on a TV program for the college. After that I don't know what he is doing. Carrie, Ross, Thomas, Mike, Andrew, and I traveled to Iowa to see this grand event. I must say I am a very proud mom to have a college graduate. Stephen received two awards during the senoir awards ceremony. He received a $250 cash award for a video he produced and the Community Service Award. The latter award is basically the outstanding student award. He co-earned this award. Every person we were introduced to or spoke with talk very highly of Stephen. They all thanked me for letting him come to their school to add his creativity and special spirit to the campus. Stephen has really worked hard at Maharishi University. I was worried that he would go to the school and be involved in a cult and never be the same. How untrue those thoughts have been. The school has opened his creativity levels and spiritual levels beyond words. He is open-minded and absolutely one of the most pure souls I have ever met. I don't know where he will go or what his future holds, but I know that he will suceed in all that he does.

PS. Thomas started playing soccer. First game was today. Robert is crawling and pulling up to things at 6 months. Carrie and Ross are house hunting. Ross got a job at the coal mines which will give his family insurance and more stability. I am so proud of him. Matt is working all the time turning his life back around on track. Mom, JD and me (as much as I could) got the siding done on the end of her house. I am getting over Mono and just recently a bout with a real bad cold and bronchitis. I will post pictures of the grandbabies after Thomas' game next week. I didn't get to go today because I just got back in town from a small camping trip.

Hi Eveybody,

Wow!! It's been a while since I blogged. It's so good to see all your beautiful pictures, Sheri, and to get an update on your growing family. Good to see Kelly's pic's too. We really do all have beautiful babies. No lie. We've had a busy but good summer. Fun vacation to Marco Island, FL tostart off, Jake went to church camp and zoo camp. He did NOT like church camp and learned a few choice words there that we weren't too happy about. But, it was an experience. He loved Zoo camp, of course, it didnt involve any overnite stay, so that helped. Mom and Dad and Monica came a few weeks ago and we went to the Wilson county fair, Uncle Larry came too. We had lots of fun. We also celebreated Jake's, Monica's and Mom's birthdays while they were here. Matt got a job at Johnson Controls. He works in the office with Billing and Customer Service, etc. This has been a huge adjustment for the whole family, but a good one. It will be good for Matt and good tohave the extra income. Jake is the only one who doesnt like it so much, because he has to go to extended care after school instead of being picked up by his DAD. But, oh well, that's life. I am able to pick him up usually by 4:00 and sometimes earlier. Well, its labor day, and we are trying not to labor. Hope you all are doing the same. I love you all. Let's keep posting.

Hello everyone. What would we do with out computers? lol. Wow has summer flown by or what. Sorry i missed the pampered chef party. We were in cali. Our son Garrett came home from duty in Iraq. We are so glad to have him home safely. It was nice to see dad and son reunited. The beach was pretty great too. I have found that I could possibly live threw the hardship of having to wake up to the ocean sounds, smells and the fresh sand every morning if I had too.
I do have another annoucement for those who haven't heard. I am grandma again for the 4th time. Chevy Joseph was born to Andrew and Auburn last month. sorry so late on the announcement. He is beautiful of course. His big brother will be turning 1 on sept. 4th. Cant believe the year has went so fast. Domino is now 4 mths. old and beautiful too of course. Isn't amazing how we all have beautiful children. We are a lucky family. ha ha. I will include some new pics. for you all to see.
Other wise all is well. Married life is still good. Jd still works in Madison, IN. He has 10 mths left and than we have no idea where we go from there. He wants to travel some with hes work but it is so hard to leave my family even for a while. Brock and Karie just bought their first home and are doing really great. She is a fantastic little momma to Domino. Andrew got a new job this summer and baby number 3, of and he got his chevy truck. So he got to chevys in less than a week. lol. Jeff started year #3 at V.U. transferring back to phamacy as his major. Decided he just didn't want to spend 12 to 14 hours a day in a kitchen. Oh and Brock and Jeff bought new motorcylcels together this summer. pray for my boys. Jack is working in the oil fields and doing well and his girlfriend Miranda started V.U. this week to. Hello everyone,

I'm inviting all family and friends who view this to come to Steph and my Pampered Chef party on Saturday, yes this saturday. This is a lot last min. but I w ould love to see you all there if you can make it. lindy tell your mom, Sherri and lisa tell your mom. It is going to be at Steph and Shelbs church where we had the quints first b-day party. I'm really thinking about selling this stuff. I need to make some more money........these kids are bleeding me dry......! Anyways give me, steph or shelb a call if you are coming so we know how much food to buy. The party starts at 1pm. We are still waiting to hear from the foster family in Florida who has layla. I'm not sure when she is going to get up here so everybody be praying for her. Pray for Tampa to hurry our request to Indiana and Indiana to o.k. her being transfered up here.

Hey everyone. It has been soooo long since I've wrote on this. I have been sooooo busy. Tell aunt Linda I finally tore down the border in my front hall and foyer and we painted. I'm now working on taking down wallpaper in the living room. We started on the kids bathroom putting in a shower head because we need to tear out the master bath (mold that was painted over by previous owners) somehow I pulled a piece of wallpaper off in the hallway and then I had to do it all so that's how it got painted. Also in the middle of that process i tore out the two closets, one in hall and other in foyer, and we painted and put in new closets. Ripping out closets means finding new place for junk that was in closet........well the bright idea is have a yard sale...........hence the everything went out to the garage.........i just cleaned that yesterday because you could no longer get into the door.........add in yard work........laundry for nine people..........dr. dentist appts..and oh yeah a week of bible school.........we are up to 7 kids.......we still have Dominique and we added 15yr old Erika. O.K. after reading this I must sound insane.........i guess the secret is out.........yeah right...... here is the light at the end of the tunnel..........ha.ha.ha.ha.ha.ahhaahahahhahahahahahaha. Noah, Tameka, Monica and Dominique will be going to church camp........I won't know what to do with myself......I should go on vacation.....

Well I do have a couple of prayer request. Dad has been off work for 6 weeks and is going back on the road. He needs everyone praying for him. He was home everyday and got to feel what its like to live in his words a normal life. Going back on the road is going to be hard on him. Please just say a prayer for him daily for strength to fight the loneliness.

I just talked with Aunt Dee last night about Tony and Tonya. We need to be praying for Tony. He sounds like he is doing everything he can to help her. He is trying to get her moved back here and help her keep on track. That means that they are trying to get Layla moved up here also. Please be praying for Scott and Steph. they are going to work on having her placed with them. I've talked with the kids about the situation because we might have Layla staying with us until all is done with Scott and Steph. Lets just pray for all involved in this situation.

I did it!!!! So here are my little angels!!! Caleb is doing great. He loves to play with animals and trucks. He loves his little brother alot sometimes too much!! Elijah refuses to sleeep through the night, don't know what his problem is. He is growing like crazy. He has started to get up on his knees and rocks and he can go from laying down to sitting up position. Eli absolutely adores his older brother and thinks he is very funny. Love ya!!!

Hello everyone! It has been awhile I know, but life is good and busy. Being a grandma keeps me busy 24-7. This grandparent stuff is really where it is at. Ha ha. I have to announce that yesterday I became a grandma again but this time she is a GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!. After all the men in my life the lord finally said its enough, give this women a break. lol. She is beautiful of course and her mommy and daddy are very proud. Karie did wonderful threw delivery and daddy did great too. Domino ReiLynn was born at 9:33am on the 24th. Weighing 7 lbs and measuring 20 in. Poor little Karie. She was miserable the last month and now we all know why. She is very healthy a doing great.

Carson is also great. 5 teeth and weighing in at 7 mths at a hefty 28 pds. Yes that's right. A chunk of a boy. And Conner leads the pack at 30 pounds,. Ha ha. Any how Hello to everyone and Melanie. God bless you two for all that you do. The lord defiantly chose you for a reason.

Here we go! You knew we had one foster child right? Well Sunday cps called and said they had a 5yr old boy they needed to place. Well that made Noah's day because he said we always get girls and it isn't fair. I did my usual, I asked everyone who lives in our home what they thought and they all said yes. I did my usual of praying for this little boy and asked God for us to be a blessing for him and to help him feel safe and loved while he was with us. God has blessed us so much with all the kids we have kept. Well an hour later they call and tell us he has two older siblings that need placement also ( he was found walking down the road from his trailer park by himself with bruises all.......I mean all over his body). Well once we accepted to take him he's already a part of our family, even before we see him. We couldn't say yes to him and not to the other two it just didn't feel right. His name is Nathan and he is 5, then there is Hailey and she is 6, last but not least is their step sister Destiney and she is 10. So we have pre-school, kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth, fifth, 7th, and freshman covered in Gibson county. Or........ 5,6,7,8,9,9,10,13, and 15yr olds. I know that seems insane but you can't even begin to know how sweet these kids are. I hope you get to meet them sometime. Everybody pray for us but most of all for these precious kids who have to go through hell in order to be placed with us.

I know Grandma and pa Wright are in heaven saying............"no problem.........peace of cake." Ha,Ha. We are blessed with our parents and siblings that welcome in all the kids we keep. I know we couldn't do this without the support of our family. It would be impossible.

I'm having some posting issues. Sorry if this is duplicated! I was trying to delete a picture and couldnt figure out how to get back to what I already posted. Anyway...Wanted to share some pics from easter and spring break, we had a great week, saw "Horton hear a Who" movie, went horsbackriding, to the Zoo and had lots of time to play with friends and EAster Egg hunts. Saturday was opening day for Baseball season.. I ditto Mels sentiments about our friend, Jesus Christ. I can't believe how people get along without him in their lives. Shawn and I went over for a play date with those Wright kids. The third picture is what they look like the moment you walk in and sit on the floor to play..........then they all attack! It is so fun to play with them. I got in the playhouse and they all followed me in. Then after a little bit of play Emily opened the gate to the dining room and asked them if they were ready to eat and it was like a herd of cows running for the feed line. I can't believe how they are growing! Rob and Emily have done such a great job with them. They run that house like a fine tuned piano. I'm going to get to play with them all this week for spring break. I can't wait.

Introducing Dominique. She is 11yrs old and will be with us for a while. That really means that we don't know how long we will have her. She is a mess. She has us laughing all the time. She had to be at her church an hour before we did so I didn't get her picture with the rest of the kids in their Easter outfits.

I just want to say that I'm so thankful that Jesus died for all of our sins. I love him with all of my heart, mind and soul. He is the reason for every season in my life. He is always there no matter what time it is. With him I have hope always. If you don't know him don't waste another second. I love you guys!

Hey, all, long time no talk. My computer has been ill so I have be slow to get on the website.

We had 11 inches of snow from Friday to Saturday so the kids had a great time. Thought I would give you some cute pics to look at.

It is supposed to be 60 degrees here Wednesday. Welcome to Indiana. If you don't like the weather - wait a half an hour and it will change.

The baby pictures are adorable. You all look so happy! Will you be that happy when you are on your 5th night of no sleep? Just kidding, no not really!

I would like to ask you all if you would please pray for Tameka's bestfriend Savanah Scott. She is 8yrs and they found out two weeks ago she has bone cancer and has a 10% chance of survival. We are going to go and start visiting her this week. I can't imagine how her family is surviving this. This will either push them to God or they will just turn away. Please be praying for them nonstop.

Here's the latest pics of the Burch boys. Robert is a very alert little boy. He is awake a lot and such a good baby. Thomas just adores him. The blankets were made by a lady I work with. Thomas is actually making Robert smile. I can't get enough of these two!! I just love being Ninny!

Robert Joseph Ross Burch II was born at 8:19pm on February 18, 2008. He weighed 8lbs 10oz and 22-1/2" long. He is so so precious!!! Thomas was so good thru the whole thing. He was excited to see his new brother, but more excited about pizza and the new color book and stickers he got from the nurses. More pictures are at the muchos picture website!!

I was in Indiana this weekend at the quints party. They are adorable. It was good seeing all who were there, but missed alot of you. I don't really have may good pictures of the quints , but I'm sure they'll get posted by Mel or Emily. I do have a few of the Burke/Wright Grandchildren and Grandparents. The kids all had alot of fun at Grandma and Grandpa Burkes eating junk food all weekend and playing nonstop. I hope all who attends the quints party takes lots of pictures. I along with Missy's bunch can't attend. I can not go because I have pneumonia and I am too weak and puny to be around others who might be sick. Man do I know how Em & Rob feel when they get the babies around sick people. Anyone with the sniffles can put me back in the hospital and that is NO fun. Everyone have a great time and eat some cake for me. I love you all!!!

Snow Day

We are home today from school. We have some ice and just a bit of snow. The ice is what kept us home.

The twins turned six last Wednesday. They are doing well in school and are looking forward to summer.

We won't get to come to the birthday party because we have so much sickness around here. Brady had a fever last night and Meg is not feeling well today. I have a cold that I have had for almost three weeks. Mom and Dad both have sinus infections. We are sad but we wouldn't want to take anything to the little ones.

As you can see I take my job as a high school business teacher very serious!

I was one of the "Bangles" and I was a backup dancer for Tina Turner for the song "Proud Mary!" Yes, me dancing. Scary!!!!

As you can tell I didn't wear a wig. That was my "decade" the 80's so I knew how to do the hair!!!!

We did an Academic Convo that was called "The History of Rock and Roll" and it was FUN!
