FINISHED!!!

Hey family!!

Here is a cross stitch that I have finally completed. It has 24, 192 full crossed stitches with very intricate detail outline stitching. I started this in the winter of 2000, but lost interest in it and put it away for over two years. I only worked on it in the winter months and then definitely not enough. I am SO glad it is done and can't wait to see it framed.

DUNN DID IT!!

Wow!!! My sister is married!!! It was a sweet little ceremony. Thank you to those who could make it. To those of you who could not here is a couple pics for you. More is posted on the Wright Look.

Yoder/Burke Christmas

Okay, people, I've finally entered the 21st century and have gotten a digital camera, and I'm trying oh so hard to be high tech. Just let me tell you...IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE!!! But I'll spare you the details. Anywho, hope you all had a wonderful and blessed Christmas! Lindy, you did a great job posting some funny stuff. I am very afraid in my own home with the alien dog thing. Jake and I watch that video over and over and laugh until we cry.

Santa brought Jake a WII and he has been on it everyday way too many hours, but its new and its been rainy outside, so what the hay. We'll monitor better when school starts again.

WE had a great time with Mom , Dad and Lindy for Christmas at our house, but it went way too fast. I'm now going to try posting some pictures. I'm nervous, wish me luck.
I'm going to try to post a few more pictures on the other picture bloggy thingy.
I love you all, Happy New Year!!!

Blink and it's gone.

Can you believe it? Another Holiday Season has come and gone. It seems impossible how fast time goes these days, doesn't it? Well...it was fun and I enjoyed it even though it slipped by too quickly as usual. Here's a quick clip from the traditional "12 Days" rendition done only as we can.

See everybody next year! We love ya!!!

Christmas Eve with 10 beautiful kiddos

We got to share Christmas Eve with the famous Wright five. It was wonderful. We had a really good time with them. We took this picture of my kids oldest to youngest with Rob and Em's kids oldest to youngest. It took a few...........well a lot of takes to get them alll half way looking, smiling, not crying. The next picture are the proud grandparents and believe it or not they gave us the same kind of troubles the kids did with smiling, looking at the camera, not blinking...........! It was wonderful fun. God it so good. Love you all and Merry Christmas.

Mrs Santa and the snowman builder

Who's grandkid is this? Monica looks just like her grandpa Tony!
This is the fist snowman of the season. Noah placed him right outside his bedroom window. He even asked if we could put him in the freezer so he wouldn't melt. I said "no" by the way. He was so proud of his creation.

Turkey Day Update

Thanksgiving came and went in the blink of an eye, as usual. I can't believe how fast the years fly between holidays, but to add insult to injury...the actual day seems to go by in a blur. Sad to think how when we were kids the day seemed to drag on forever and now it's more like the snap of a finger.

The only thing that seems to linger about Thanksgiving these days is the added pound or two or three from all the yummy food. Dadgum that was good today. Maybe it was just me, but today's food seemed to be the best it has been in years. I LOVED EVERY MORSEL! And true to my yearly tradition, I am going to bed with a very full belly and just a tad green, but feeling very blessed.

Anywho...I enjoyed the day and I would like to say Thanks to all of you guys (including blood relatives and joiners of all kinds) for the blessings each and every one of you provide for just being a member of this very special group of people I feel privileged to be able to call my family.

Last but not least, this is my favorite little video of the day. Enjoy. I love you guys!

For more precious mammories, be sure and click on muchos pictures to the right. Or better yet, post some whilst your here or there.

Hugs!

Free Willy

Free Willy!!!!! Meg and Brady had fun being Willy for Halloween.

Things are really crazy around here. I can't believe how busy

we are with school and how hard it is to keep healthy.

I was sick last week and ended up in the hospital because I was dehydrated. I have never been dehydrated before. I missed three days of school.

Hope to see a bunch of you at Thanksgiving.

Lisa, your mom's house does look really good. You all have done a great job.
Started making noodles last weekend. My mouth is starting to water for all of the food I will stuff myself with.

Sorry, I haven't written in a while, but things have been a little crazy at work and at home. We found out KK has ADHD-Inattentive Type. So we started her on some medication. That was a very long drawn out process, but we finally got things worked out. I think the medicine is starting to work and Scott and I are starting to see a difference in her school work. We are also doing gymnastics, basketball and kids choir at church. Never a dull moment. But, I wouldn't trade it for nothing in the world. I love watching KK do everything she's involved in.

Addison got to spend the night at the Conway home for the first time last weekend. We had a great time with her, she is a DOLL!!! But, the night did not go as smooth. She was up at 2:30 and didn't really go back to sleep until about 7:30. I told Shelby about and she said she was sorry, but we all know she was laughing at us the whole time (haha). But, with all of that, we had a great time with her and would do it all over again.

Looking foward to seeing all of you at Thanksgiving.
luv ya!
c ya later!

ALL DONE!!!!

Ladies & Ladies,

Mom's house is done. Sherri finished the floor trim after the carpet was laid. It is beautiful. Sherri helped Mom move the furniture back into the living room and it looks great! Then Sherri and I stuffed Mom's new china cabinet with all her pretties. It is beautiful!!! We (us three kids) in one way or another worked in every single room of that house for the last 17 months. I am glad it is over. If she decides to start another project in that house, I think we are gonna knock her in the head!! Well thats all I got to say about that....

Love to all,
Ninny2

Jeffrey is going strong in college, Garret leaves for Iraq in Jan. and Jack is enjoying the peaceful life of high school. Well that is life in a nut shell for the goforth family. Looking forward to Thanksgiving to see everyone. Till than love you all!!!!! Sherri

I ummm well yeah uh huh!!!!

Hello family!!

Today we learned that Carrie is having a boy. His name will be Robert James. She was a smiggin disappointed, but they can try again!

Lindy and I are working on getting me into shape. She has set me up a program to get healthy. Stacy is trying it too. My jeans are a little looser than normal, so maybe it is working. I have to do this for me because I keep passing out when I bend over to tie my shoes! No, just kidding, but really I do need to loose weight and try to live a little more healthy. We will see what happens. I am very much staying dedicated to this because Lindy is putting a great deal of time and energy into this so I want it to work for her too. She is a great trainer!

Other than that, nothing new. Just the same old me doing the same old silly things like walking around work all morning with my pants unzipped. NOPE!!! Nobody said a thing this time. Just let me shoot the breeze!!! Someone did let me know last week that I had my shirt on backwards and inside out. Well, it was a solid color shirt with no designs to help me out!!!

Mom is almost done remolding her house. She has to put the carpet down, we (whoever helps me) has to finish the door framing, and Jeff and I have to finish the crown molding in the hall. Then she will be done!!! Don't know whats gonna keep her busy after that!!!

Well it's been nice chatting at ya'll. I guess we will see some of ya at Addison's birthday party. The rest of ya, we will think about how much we miss you not being able to be there to be with the family and share in this happy day!

Love to all!!!

Hello

I've not been able to get on here in a while. I'm working again. I started on Tuesday at the Princeton high school daycare. I work 8am to 3pm. It is a really great job #1 because I'm on my kids schedule. I'll be home when they are home and at work when they are in school. I'll be off during the summer also. Patrick is playing soccer on the high school team this year. Can you believe he is a freshman. I can't............He can, he thinks he is grown. Noah is playing football and loving it. I think football is his favorite out of all the sports. I'll be posting some pics of him in his uniform. He loves every minute of wearing all the gear. This is his first year of tackle, last year was flag. Meka and Monica are trying to talk me into girl scouts. I'm thinking we almost have every night covered with practices, but we have to be fair. I'm looking into getting them in it. Then you know what that means.........You will know where to get your girl scout cookies...........right.......????? Sign ups were last week but I'm sure I can still get them in. Please keep Taylor in your thoughts and prayers ( our foster daughter ) she is going through a rough time. She is depressed right now. The good thing is she has no problem talking to us about anything and everything. She will be moving to N.C. with her nana and papa sometime before or around December ( this is a great thing, she can't wait ). She is a great kid and for all she has been through is a very, very normal 12 yr. old. We have really been blessed as foster parents. We are meeting some great kids. We have been keeping in contact with the one's who have moved on in their lives. I hope we can always do that. I think Ali is the last but not least. She is doing great in school so far this year. She is really working hard to keep her grades good. I'm pretty proud of all my kiddo's. Lot's of love to all.
Mel

Thank You !!!!

Too cute!

The video of Teenie and Lulu is so cute! But, the funniest part is hearing Mel giggling in the background.

Aubrie has her two bottom front teeth and she is starting to sit up. She is over five months now which is hard to believe!

My Dad starts his new job in Tennessee starting on Oct. 8th. I am headed to my parents house tomorrow to help pack.

Just a test to see if I can get the video thing to work. This is the only video I have on this computer. It is taking a while to upload the video. We will see. If this works you will see how my pups get their exercise.
Teenie has lulu's ball and is playing keep away.

Hi!

I think I have finally figured this out! I am not the most computer savvy person. Layla is beautiful and I agree that Deborah is a cutie pie.

Scott and I took Aubrie on her first plane ride at the end of July to visit her grandparents in IL. She did great and we really enjoyed our visit. The main reason we were there was for the Schoenwetter family reunion. We had lots of fun showing Aubrie off!

Aubrie's two bottom teeth are coming in and she looks so cute. She is a wonderful baby and exhausting at the same time. I have no idea how Rob and Em handle 5!!!

If you haven't heard already it looks like my parents are moving to Tennessee. Please pray for me and Kelly because it will be hard on us when they move.

Love,
Stacy

You are too much, Lisa!

Lisa, you crack me up!!!!! I would have loved to be in on that laugh.

I'm glad Carrie is OK and the new baby.

The new baby pictures are so cute and Toby's little one is adorable.

Love, Missy

Tonya had her baby.

Here are a couple of pics. She is a little cutie. She weighed 6 pounds and 7 ounces and her name is Layla Taniele (pronounced as in the Captain and...) Let's keep them in our prayers. I have invited Toby to join our little blog o' fun and as soon as he gets the dilleo, he should be bloggin some pictures of his family too. He has the cutest lil girl named Deborah. Hope I spelled that right. She is a true cutiepatootie. So I just posted two of the new baby and one of Deborah. Anywho...till next time. C-ya!

I am crying here!

Lisa, thanks so much for that laugh. Your story has me still sniffing and wiping my eyes! Now, don't stay away so long. This site needed some "Lisa" humor!

Got some catching up to do!

Hello Ladies!

It was good to see all at the quints dedication. I really enjoy being with family and catching up on good stories. Missy yours was a traumatic, but classic momma story. Anyhoo...ummm. Let's see...

Well August 16th, Carrie had to have a minor surgery to remove a kidney stone she had not been able to pass for over 6 months or more. The kidney specialist and her OB/GYN working together came up with the perfect window of opportunity to remove the stone without harming Carrie's little baby. There was literally a three day window for doing the surgery without causing any damage to the growing fetus. BUT Carrie was so sick with infection and vomiting the time frame was slipping away. Finally her fever dropped just low enough they could perform the operation and saved her kidney and no harm to little baby. She awoke from the anethesia without any complications and was completely pain free. She actually went home the evening after the surgery because whe was doing so well. The stone was caught right at the entry to the bladder causing massive blockage. Her kidney was being destroyed by a stone as big as a pea. NO JOKE. I was amazed at the size. It was never gonna make it into the bladder. But anyway she is fine now. Totally pain free and doing wonderful. She hasn't gained her appetite back, but I am sure that will come along soon. Her pregnancy with Thomas, she had no cravings and no morning sickness. I had the morning sickness. She has the all day sickness. Can't cook meat, can't stand the smell of certain foods, and finds laundry soap smells overwhelming!!!

Stephen had returned to the United States from his trip to India. I got an email from him this very day saying he was home, but very sick from the 40 hour trip home. I am anxioux to hear all about the things he saw and learned. He is not joining the Hindu or Buddist religions, but is learning much about the spiritual being of the religion. He is hopefully in his last year of school. He is getting his masters in Film and Media. We will see where that goes.

Matt is working for Gemtron in Vincennes. He is on an assembly line of glass stove tops. He really likes his job. He is getting his life together and turning things around for himself. He was desperately trying to get into the armed forces to get away from here, but he could not pass the physical for the marines. His record keeps him out of the air force and army. And for some reason he is too tall to get into the navy. So he is going to stick it out at Gemtron for awhile and then try to head back to school.

Thomas is becoming a big boy. He is learing the potty routine and doing quite well. He talks a blue streak and then some. I absolutely love having grandkids. He is in the discovery stage and wants to see and do and learn all he can. I just love him to pieces.

As for myself, I am still searching for that perfect job. I have reached a point with my job now that I know, no matter how much I try or how much I do, I will never be able to make my boss be pleased with my performance. So I am looking when I get the chance. Other than my job, I am doing great. Now I will leave ya all with a little story....

Today at work we (staff and consumers) spent the afternoon cleaning the woodshop and organizing, tossing, restacking, sorting, sweeping, and lots more to make the woodshop look nice for our yearly inspection we must endure to receive some of our federal funding. Any way... I was working with two high school boys from our vocational program. We were sorting, stacking, sweeping, moving this and that and working very hard to clean our assigned area. In the process of doing this in the 90+ heat, my jeans and tshirt were soaked with sweat along with my undies. Somehow my shirt from bending over and stooping and sqauting had rode up my back. I had no idea because I was really zoned into what I was doing...This young man spoke these very words. "Umm, you need to pull you shirt down in the back. Umm, your underwear is showing. " So I arose from being bent over on my knees reaching under a stack of lumber to reach my ink pen that fell from my pocket to a standing position in an inquiring state of mind as to how he could possibly know my underwear was showing. I stood as quick as I could and reached ever so quickly behind my back to pull down the sweat drinched shirt that was bothering this young man. WELL...Not only was my shirt up, but so was my undies. The whole section that had ripped from the back and was acting as a decorative belt nearly around my waste. I had to just walk away from him and go laugh myself silly. I went into the office to show my co-worker who nearly peed her pants laughing at me. I did ask another staff lady if she would help me fix my undies, but she refused to go there!! Well thank goodness I keep an entire change of clothes at work for just such emergencies. I have no idea when the backside of my drawers decided to split from itself and make its fashion debut. But what I find much more amusing is I have no idea how long it was like that before he told me!!!

Love to all,

Alisa

p.s. I wont stay away so long...

Free Online Fitness Training, Anyone?

Okay kids! There is a reason I have been scarce lately. I have been very busy with research and stuff for a project I am about ready to launch.

The above question is a very serious one. I am about to embark on an online personal training journey. I am starting an online personal fitness membership website. I figured I would start out with an exclusive family clientele. Alright alright, you guys will be my guinea pigs! I didn't want to say it but, there it is. As you guys know, I have been training professionally off and on since 1994. However, I have never done it online. I have always done it in person on a one-on-one basis and am very experienced in that arena. But this will be very different for me and I sort of want to get comfortable with it and get all the bugs out, so to speak, with family before I "open" to the public.

Any volunteers? It will be completely free for at least the first month. I will prescribe your workouts complete with video demonstrations of each exercise. I will do a nutrition plan for you if you wish complete with grocery shopping list. There will be either a monthly email or magazine you can view exclusive to members. It is going to be so totally cool. There will be a bunch more great amenities that I will explain to interested souls.

I am in the process of deciding a few last minute things and getting set up, but I want to be sure that I have interested bodies. The cost to regular clients will be anywhere from 20 to 75 dollars monthly, according to what all they sign up for; my in-person clients pay 250 to 350 for monthly packages, give or take a buck or two. So you see how this will make affordable training for people who otherwise cannot afford it. But for YOU, my peeps, it will be totally free for at least the first month or two or three. I haven't decided yet when you will have to pay, but when you do, it will remain a family discount nowhere close to what Joe Public will pay. And your discount will be for the life of your membership. But like I said, the first month is completely free for sure. I will figure out the details and we can talk about it further. Anyone who is interested please email me. lindaburke1@charter.net. And don't worry, I will have a workout you can do from home if you do not want to or can't join a gym.

Wouldn't it be nice to drop 10 or 20 pounds before the holidays? I can help you guys do it! I promise! I lost 25 since last year. And boy does it feel good to fit in anything I want to wear. Come on, join me!

Hope to hear from you soonly!

Love ya lots!

Lindy

slept right through it

I hear everything............I sleep light as a feather..........I didn't get to bed until midnight and acording to my neighbor at 2am the tree broke in half during the storm and our other neighbor came down and made a drive through clearing of the road using a chain saw. I didn't hear a thing. Wow. Anyways I have to get outside. Shawn worked all night, got home at 7:30am and is out trying to take the stupid tree down. He told me to get my work cloths on. As you can tell I'm real excited about getting out there and helping. By the way I don't know if you can tell in the picture but we no longer have a mail box. ta,ta for now.

End of Summer

We are having some last minute fun in the sun before school starts this week.

I start tomorrow and the kids start Kindergarten on Tuesday. I can't believe my babies are going to school. It is a little sad for me.

When the weather breaks I would love to have all of you come for a visit.

Love, Missy
