League and tourney champs

Tameka's right in the middle of her coaches. Tameka's team won both league (9 to 0) and tourney (10 to 8) championships. She had such great coaches this year. She had a ball. The team is going to have a pizza party in a couple of weeks. She is so proud of her two trophies. She is starting bible quizing Sunday. Noah did it last year and did really well.

Be praying for Rob and Emily. It is tough on them. I just pray God gives them the strength to get through each day. We are doing all we can to help but after our shifts we get to go home. Emily is there pretty much non stop and I know it's hard on her. You guys in Vincennes are really missing out. These babies are changing everyday. Ethan is really starting to smile and giggle. Sydney is right behind him. Can you believe they are 4 1/2 months old. Come on up and see them, get to know your lil cousins. We would love to introduce ya-all. Anyways, I'm gonna go.

Talk to ya later........

it's off to the Dr. we go

What a big day. The kids all five went to the Dr. to get some .............THREE.....shots. That was fun. All are gaining weight and doing pretty good. Little issues here and there because of being preemies but nothing big. It is so funny to be out in public with them. It's like I'm with a famous group or something...................a lot of people with smiles on their faces or disbelief. It's really fun to see their reaction. I'm glad your out there Missy. I think everyone else is on vacation or something........ha,ha.
love your house by the way. It looks so great. I would love to make a trip to your home. Finding the time before school starts is the issue. I hope we can work it out somehow though.
Love ya all,
MEl

We had a good time this afternoon outside. Thought I would show you some pics. Plus, the "Lake" is done for the summer.

The invitation is still open for you guys to come for a visit.

Love, Missy

Summer

Wow, loved the pictures of the girls. It is good to hear from you. I check each day to see if anyone has anything new to say.

My kids are VBS this week. It is so weird to have them there by themselves and having some down time. They are being more and more independent.

We have so many things we need to do and not enough time or money to get it done. Can any of you relate to that?

Love to you all!

The girls start softball tournaments Saturday. Oh yeah and we have a new foster daughter. Taylor is 12 and a sweetheart. We are going to have her for awhile. So now I'm up to six kids. Anyways, if any of you would like to come and help saturday and or Sunday that would help out a bunch. Just call Em or me for more info.....em 386-8445. Me 385-5655. Got to go. I'm on my way to the 10pm to 7am shift with those beautiful babies.

Update from Music City

Hi Family!!!

Well, today I remembered that I've forgotten about The Wrightness Blog and realized that I needed to get with it and find out whats been going on. So it took awhile to read all the updates and look at all the neat pictures. But it is so worth it to have this tool to keep in touch. My problem is that it had been so long I forgot how to get back in, forgot my user name and password, so that took about another 15 minutes to figure out. Now I'm about out of the mood to type. But, anyway, here goes...

Some of you probably already heard from proud Grandma Burke about some of Jakes accomplishments of 1st grade. But she wanted me to post it so EVERYONE could know!! Well, on the last day of school they have awards day for 1st thru 5th grad. Jake was awarded an Academic trophy for having the highest grade point avereage in his Class. 98%. He also was on Principals List every 9 weeks for straight A's on every report card all year, and he was awarded a Library Award for AR (Accelerated Reading), top AR reader in 1st Grade and was ranked 4th AR reader for the entire elementary school. It was really neat to see him get these awards, he was so excited. If you know Jake , you know he holds no emotions back, good or bad, you always know where he stands...so he was smiling ear to ear and practically jumping as he ran to the stage each time he got his awards. We are very pround of him and hope this keeps him motivated to continue to do well in school. We're going to have to leave the sports up to the Donnell kids!

I'm recovering well from my surgery and, yes, I did take the whole 6 weeks off which is now over , I go back to work Monday. I hate the thought. Oh well, I have really enjoyed the time even though I didnt feel great most of the time , it really wasnt that bad. I was able to go on vacation for a week and a half, we always visit Matt's mom and dad in florida and we were able to see Aunt Deb and her whole crew. I was able to see baby Aubrie and she is more adorable than the pictures. Sooo Sweet!!!! And what about Caleb, what a cutie pie.

We went to Seaworld, It was Awesome!!!!!! But it was weird having to pay to get in. Ha! We are used to getting in free to Disney when we're in Orlando, thanks to Stacy and Scott. Mel, Iam very very excited for you guys to get to take the family in July but I'm very envious that you are staying in Animal Kingdom, I hear thats the best. We didnt want to fork out the bucks for it when we went last October (even though Scott could get the discount) but now I regret it. If he and Stacy are still there next year we my try to go again.

I started this on Saturday but finishing it on Sunday. Today is Fathers Day and Matt's Big 4-0 birthday. We threw him a little surprise party friday nite with the neighborhood friends. It was fun, I think he was surprised, I didnt tell Jake till the last minute, that was key to keeping it a surprise. We had about 20 people, black decorations, tombstone cake, over the Hill theme, etc.

Now, back to work for me, Jake andMatt have 7 weeks left of the summer till schools starts. That's seven weeks for Matt to think of things to keep Jake from spending 12 hours a day in front of the TV , gamecube, nintendo ds, or computer. They do have season passes to Nashville Shores, a nice water park about 2 miles from our house. Thats good for 1-2 days a week before he gets too bored with it. I have a business meeting in Orlando one week after I go back to work, and the boys are on their own for a week. anywho, I've gone on long enough, I'm going to try to keep up with this blog more frequently. And soon , I will get a digital camera and willshare pictures too. I love seeing everyones pics. Mel is super woman, where do you find the time to take care of your five , help with the quints and still blog and everything else you do. WOW!!!! I want some of what you take.

Missy, love the house pics!! It's beautiful, My ruby is in full bloom now too, My girlfriend asked about it the other day and I told her the whole Ruby story and she wants a piece to it too, Isnt that flower the neatest thing?

Love to all and tell all your wonderful husbands, Happy Fathers DAy!!!!

Ah Hah!!!

I just thought of something. You could sound really rich if your friends asked you where you were going for the weekend and you said - "The Lake House".

Think about my previous post about coming to visit "The Lake House" this summer. We would have a blast!!!!

I would even cook and let me tell you that means I really want you to come.

Take A Break at the Lake Home

As I told you I have been working on my yard and I want to invite all of you to come and sit-a-spell with me on the porch.

I would love to have you guys all come over together and spend the day and night. Bring my aunts and uncles, too, due to the fact that Mom and Dad have two extra bedrooms and I have one. I have room for 4 and mom and dad have room for 5 and if Cheryl doesn't have her kids she has room for 5.

Think about it and please come. We need a night of ice-tea and talk. It would be fun and cheap. Now I'm not talking about my self begin cheap and fun I'm talking about our time together.
We could make it a family affair!!!!!
Love to all and Y'all come!!!!!
Love, Missy
I would love to have another tattoo. But,........things a tight right now. We are saving for our vacation that is 1 month away. So I'm not sure when I will be able to do it.

tattoo anyone?

Hey kids:

Well, I have been watching that show Miami Ink. It is a really neat show on how people are getting their tattoos, the designs and what they come up with. I am officially hooked. Anyway, was there any of you girls that were going for part two? If so, we need to set up a date and maybe regroup to see what we all want.

Any feedback.......seriously, what else is there to spend money on? Bills?, those will always be there.

Love to all.........Shek

This and That and Then some!

Mel and Missy,

Boy do I know what you mean about no money for flowers. I had a great source this year for flowers. I got all the stuff free this year!! I went to mom's and dug up her back yard!! She had her entire fenced in yard for Charlie all dug up and re-sodded. Jeff, Sherri, and I spent 4 or 5 weekends and some thru the week digging up all the plants and taking them home to replant. So I was able to decorate my front yard and back patio with free flowers. Some of them have bloomed and some are not going to bloom this year, but will make a great looking flower garden next year!!! Both of my Ruby buckets are blooming too. I have had 13 blooms so far. I love those little flowers. I have wild violets growing in my yard too. So next spring when they bloom again, I will dig more of them up and put them in with all my other flowers. I was able to get four large starts transplanted before they stopped blooming. They are doing great, but only bloom once. I don't like that part. Anyhooooo...

Funny news about post wedding bliss for Carrie and Ross. Carrie went to the court house just today to get the court document stating they were married so she can get her new social security card. The preacher put that he married Carrie and Ross on May 5th. They didn't even go get the license until May 10th. Sooooo....she has to take all new papers to the preacher and have him fill them out with the correct date. No major damage done, but it could have been bad if she had waited another month. The license is only good for 60 days!!!

Still job hunting. No new leads and no hits on my resume. My job has just taken on so much stress and I am so ready for a less stress job. I ain't no young chich ya know!!! I hate coming home from work mentally exhausted and continuing to think about work when I get home. Where is that perfect stress free, high paying, great benefit job at??? Anyone??

Andrew and I went camping Memorial weekend. I haven't been camping since dad died. I had a great time. I of course had the only campsite that was completely bug free, mosquito free, and spider free. NOT!!! Really it wasn't bad at all. The days were warm, the nights were cool, and of course there was rain. What camping trip isn't complete without rain?? We camped at Red Hill State Park just 12 miles from my house. It has a really nice lake and picnic area and a small camp ground. The famous Trace Inn Restaraunt rests on the lake. I love the peace and quiet of this little place. It's a great little campground. And of course, for a few extra dollars...bug free!!

Hope all is well with each of ya'll.
How are you doing Cathy??? I hope you took all the time you needed and got the good rest you could get.
Mel, have a great time at Disney World. Come home safe and sound.

Love to all!!!

Alisa

Tracys in North Carolina

Mom and Dad are in North Carolina to see Sandy. They had a great flight and hope to go to the beach on Tuesday.

Sandy only lives about 1 1/2 hours from the beach. When we go in July we are going, too. Brady and Meg can hardly wait to go to the beach.

Love to you all and have a great week.

Pretty pictures Mel of the Ruby plant. I have orders to water mom's while she is gone.

Love, Missy

My thanks to Aunt Linda for this beautiful Ruby plant. I feel your pain Missy. I usually buy flowers to put around the house and this year couldn't. We are going on vacation and we just didn't do it save, save, save. I did go to Rob and Emily's house and take a lot of starts before they gave up the keys in the sale. I told Rob to tell the new owner if he didn't want something and wanted to get rid of it to call and I would do it for him. We just had a storm blow through, I think I slept through most of it because I had night shift at Rob and Em's. I got home at 8 and went to sleep on the couch. I'm not sure how to change my time stamp it has been hours off and I went in and changed the settings and it didn't work. It's 10:18am right now. Base ball news. Noah had a game Wednesday night and played great. He hit the ball to the fence all but once. In the last inning he played first base and he got all three outs. The last out he had to jump high to catch the ball and came down with his mouth hitting the kids batting helmet and he busted his lip. So he had a fat lip Thursday and he didn't like it at all. He wanted me to take him to the Dr. I'm sure you heard that Jenna and Landon are in the hospital. They weren't eating so the Dr. put them back in to get them back on track eating with a new "gentle ease" formula so hopefully they won't be in long. Pray for Emily, it was really hard for her to leave them there. I'm gonna go. Love to all.

Yard Work At Large

Hey, everyone!

I'm working on my yard with no budget to work with. Can any of you relate? I love that DYI show where they spend only about $50 and use stuff around the house. I am actually trying to do that.

Shelly, I wish I knew how to use Brian's saw. I know you could show me - if only you lived closer.

With gas so high I can't buy the flowers that I used to so---- I am really trying to find stuff around my yard to split - replant. I feel like I'm on a TV show.

It is so much fun to see all the pictures and I love hearing about everyone's daily activities.

It is so much fun to be in a family that really enjoys each other. I teach so many kids who don't have one person they could call on if they were in trouble. They do not know the meaning of family. We are very lucky!!!

Love to you all and please share any ideas you have for the summer look for no money.

having fun with Uncle Steve

Hey Steph and Shelby:

Just want you both to know what a blast I am having with your dad. Oh my gosh, he is nuts just like me. You talk about funny.......and he is sooooo sweet. I just LOVE him. I try not to pick favorites but, what more can I say. He is wonderful and sassy. I am going to try and feed him once a week. He seems to like my cooking.

Love Shelrod

Summer time fun

Here is our summer time fun. We are cleaning today. Noah loves to use this vacuum. I'm not going to complain. I do have to go behind him and redo it but he is having fun. He loves to cook also. When I'm making dinner or lunch he is right there asking what I'm doing, why I'm doing it that way, and if he can help. He is a good boy. Monica......................she likes to hide from any kind of cleaning but she likes to be in pictures.....Ha,Ha. Tameka went to a friends house to play today. She spent the night with a cousin last night. She gets more phone calls in this house than all of us put together. She is such a socialite. Patrick and Ali are at church camp this week. It makes this house so quiet. This year Tameka gets to go and she is so excited. So in a couple of weeks Noah and Tameka will be at camp. Then a couple weeks after that we are going on our Disney vacation. The kids are so excited........well so are Shawn and I. We are staying at the animal kingdom resort. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!! I'm mean we can't wait!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, I'll be spending the night with the wright 5 tonight.....I can't wait. They are all so sweet.
Shawn is on his way to Lowe's in Vincennes with our pastor. They are getting some fencing for Pastors back yard. We played domino's with them until midnight last night. We are so blessed to have Pastor Gary and Becky. They are so much fun.
I'm going to go and finish cleaning.
Later,
Melbelle

Hello to all!! I know it has been awhile since I have written. But, I have had a chance to keep up with what everyone else has been writing.
Just a few things. I had a great time dancing at the wedding! It was so much fun. Even though it really showed how out of shape I really am. And the pictures that have been posted are really good.
Make sure to check out Em's blog. They are all so sweet. I just can't hardly wait for my next baby shift.
And Shelly, what a sweet email. Thank you. Also, I want to thank you for inviting dad to breakfast. He really enjoys himself with all of you guys up there. It was so hard for me to come to terms at first with dad living up there. But, ALL of you are a true blessing and answer to prayer. I worry so much (probably to much) about dad. But, it does ease it knowing that he is surrounded by family up there. Thank you so much for everything. Talk to you all real soon.

She is a great momma. It is sure getting busy around here. I have my two oldest going to church camp tomorrow morning so as always we are getting everything ready at 9pm. This summer is going to fly by. I'm really freaking out. I have so many plans of what I want to do with the kids and I feel like the summer is already going to fast. Well I'm going to go. I'll get some pics of the kids posted soon. Emily updated her blog and the pics are great. love to all.

Jeff and I

Hey all:

I just want to say, who ever took this picture of Jeff and I, this to me is PRICELESS. I have never been so blessed as to be in this FAMILY that has so accepted me. No one is ever without faults. I know I have had my own. We all take life for granted but, let me tell you the WRIGHT family, I married into the WRIGHT family and I am so proud to be a part of this FAMILY and I would not trade it for anything in this whole world. There are people that will inspire you in your lifetime, and there are so many of you that have inspired me and I thank you. You are such an extraordinary, loving, accepting, rare family and I have truly been blessed.

I love each and every one of you, and I thank each and every one of you for loving me.

And, always stop and smell the FLOWERS...........Love, Shelly

Everybody gone on vacation or what?

Emily told me that Landon and Jenna will be home tomorrow! Yippppppeeeeeee! It will be so great to have them back together again. I will take pics and post them. I'm gonna go over tonight and try to help them get ready for the next two.
Love ya all
